I don’t think charter change is divisive—Rep. Sandro Marcos

Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos has defended moves to amend the 1987 Constitution amid efforts to introduce changes in the charter.,“I don’t think charter change is divisive as people make it out to be.  I think even people on the opposite side of the political spectrum will tell you that there are certain provisions in the Constitution that have just simply become outdated because of how old it is,” Marcos said in an exclusive interview with Daily Tribune’s Straight Talk.,Separate measures were filed in the House of Representatives and in the Senate seeking to amend the Constitution.,“What I think is important is that enough due diligence is made to make sure that if the Constitution is ever changed, it is only changed to the point that it has to be changed and not beyond that, which is, what I think some people are scared off,” Marcos added.
