The highly-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon gets its first Funko Pop! figures highlighting the fantasy epic’s main characters and the ferocious dragon Syrax. Based on George R.R. Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of HBO’s smash-hit Game of Thrones. The prequel series will primarily focus on House Targaryen and their eventual fall from grace, which began in earnest due to the Dance of the Dragons, one of the bloodiest civil wars Westeros has ever seen.,Paddy Considine leads the House of the Dragon cast as the benevolent King Viserys I Targaryen, the current occupant of the Iron Throne. Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, and Rhys Ifans fill out the sizable ensemble. Other than the winged beast, the new Funko Pop! line features figures for Princess Rhaenyra, King Viserys, Lady Alicent Hightower, Prince Daemon, Ser Otto Hightower, and Lord Corlys Velaryon. Though D’Arcy plays Rhaenyra as an adult, her Funko Pop! takes it likeness from actress Milly Alcock, who portrays a teenage version of the character. The same goes for Lady Alicent, who gets two Funko Pops; one uses the likeness of Emily Carey while the other matches Cooke. Prince Daemon also gets two figures, both based on Smith, though one is holding a dragon egg.,Game of Thrones has it own successful Funko Pop! line, though this is the first look at the brand new lineup of figures for House of the Dragon While many of these characters are still largely unknown to fans, it’s likely only a matter of time before these newcomers become just as beloved as those like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark, and Tyrion Lannister.
