Much changed in the Star Wars galaxy during the decades that passed between Anakin Skywalker‘s training in the Jedi Temple and Luke Skywalker’s exiling himself to Ahch-To. However, one element that has remained consistent between the different eras is the connection between the Jedi and the old-growth Uneti tree. It was easy to miss in The Last Jedi, but this tree has a huge connection to all eras of Jedi.,The Uneti is a rare and ancient species of Force-sensitive tree. Most likely, as a result of its connection with the Force, the Uneti tree has found favor with the Jedi, and its presence in Jedi lore is significant. The tree can be seen in Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto’s Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens — Shattered Empire #4 when Luke and Rebel pilot Shara Bey infiltrate an Imperial lab to take back the remnants of the very same tree depicted in Star Wars #25. Most recently, another Uneti tree can also be observed in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as the home of the remaining Jedi texts Luke was able to recover in his efforts to rebuild the Jedi Order. At the time Luke was located on Ahch-To, home to the first-ever Jedi temple. The presumption is that the tree was previously located at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, and the remnants recovered by Luke and Shara came from the tree on Ahch-To.,
,In Charles Soule and Ramon Rosanas’ upcoming, Star Wars #25 the street is clearly depicted at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant behind a young Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi. While the extent of the tree’s link to the Jedi is unclear, the presence of the tree in the lives of so many generations of Jedi suggests that the tree has served as witness to all that the Jedi have experienced dating back to the order’s earliest form. That is, the tree may serve as a sort of biological Holocron. In fact, if the tree at the Jedi Temple was indeed a seed or sampling from the tree on Ahch-To, and, through the Force was able to communicate with each other, the tree would be much more “knowledgable” about the Jedi than any Holocron every created as it would have a running account of the entirety of the Jedi’s existence. Moreover, that account would be just the facts, without criticism, judgment, or bias.,If this were indeed the case, then the tree’s presence in Star Wars #25 presents a new connection between Anakin and Luke, the last Jedi. While nearly all of Luke’s interactions with Anakin have been after his transformation into Darth Vader, the Uneti tree’s “memories” of Anakin would mostly have been during his time before he turned to the Dark Side. It would have “recorded” as the scene in Star Wars #25 reveals the countless times he’s practiced there with Obi-Wan, Yoda, and the other Jedi Knights and Masters. It would also have seen him as he trained Ashoka. That is, it would have “footage” of Anakin at his very best.,As such, assuming that Luke was able to tap into that memory, either via the tree on Ahch-To or the remnants he obtained from the Imperial lab, then he would have been able to connect to the father only knew of for a short time, most of which was based on hatred, pain, or violence. That is, perhaps through the Uneti tree Luke was finally able to reconcile who Anakin Skywalker was as a father, as a Jedi, and as the hope and scourge of the Star Wars galaxy., ,Star Wars #25 is available now from Marvel Comics!Welcome to j8play casino, the best online casino in the world.
