The series takes place 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett disappears into the Quantum Leap accelerator. The reboot will follow Dr. Ben Seong (played by Raymond Lee), whose mission is to lead a new team in order to understand the mysteries of the original experiment and Beckett’s disappearance. Ernie Hudson will play Herbert “Magic” Williams, a character that appears in an episode of the original Quantum Leap in season 3. Nanrisa Lee (Star Trek: Picard), Mason Alexander Park (Cowboy Bebop), and Caitlin Bassett will also serve as crucial players of the Quantum Leap team.,Even though the show’s cast doesn’t include most of the original’s characters, having Bellisario on board to executive produce will hopefully give the series an air of nostalgia while still maintaining a fresh plot. And Raymond Lee’s grounded acting may serve as a necessary anchor for the sci-fi series that deals with time travel. As the premiere draws closer, hopefully there will be more news on who the Quantum Leap cast includes, and teasers coming soon.,More: Quantum Leap: Every Historical Figure Sam Beckett Encountered,Sources: NBC
