Barroca, Jalalon power Magnolia past NLEX

Magnolia’s prized backcourt duo of Mark Barroca and Jio Jalalon took charge in the second half as the Hotshots rallied for a come-from-behind 87-73 win over a stunned NLEX side late Saturday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.,Jalalon delivered key defensive stops while Barroca delivered buckets in the huge third quarter fightback that pulled Magnolia out of a 15-point hole.,Barroca fired 18 points, grabbed five rebounds and added three assists to pace the Hotshots. Jalalon flirted with a double-double after chipping in 16 points and nine assists.,Aris Dionisio added 14 markers and eight rebounds, while Ian Sangalang had 12 points and nine boards for Magnolia.,Down 31-46 at the half, the backcourt tandem fueled the much-needed spark as Magnolia outscored the Road Warriors, 33-12, in third quarter.
