According to an executive producer, there is one Avengers: Endgame reference that wasn’t allowed to be included in Ms. Marvel. The newest MCU series follows Kamala Khan, a superfan of Captain Marvel who develops her own powers after finding a bangle that bestows her with cosmic abilities. The series premiered on Disney+ on June 8 and will run its remaining 5 episodes weekly through July 13. Iman Vellani stars as Kamala, with Matt Lintz as her best friend Bruno Carrelli, Yasmeen Fletcher as her friend Nakia Bahadir, Zenobia Shroff as her mother Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapur as her father Yusuf Khan, and Saagar Shaikh as her brother Aamir Khan.,The first episode of Ms. Marvel revealed plenty about how on-the-ground civilians interact with the superheroes who walk among them. Although people’s opinions on the Avengers are obviously varied, considering the attempt to keep them from operating independently during the events of the climactic 2016 crossover film Captain America: Civil War, there is a huge fan community, large enough for Jersey City to put on their first annual AvengerCon fan event in the pilot. The episode also opens with a monologue from Khan about why she loves Captain Marvel, assembled from various doodles and scraps of evidence that include a podcast hosted by Scott Lang, also known as Ant-Man.,
,The Wrap spoke with Ms. Marvel executive producer Bisha K. Ali about the references that were packed into the series. In addition to mentioning that she wants to make the Scott Lang Avengers podcast a reality, she shared one reference she wanted to make that Kevin Feige put the kibosh on. In that opening monologue, she wanted to include drone live-stream footage of the battle during the finale of Endgame. She laughed as she explained how he denied her request, saying “there wasn’t one Twitch streamer around for the final battle?” Read her full quote below:,Even without that particular reference to Endgame, there are still heaps of Marvel Easter eggs present in the series. In addition to the oodles of tiny MCU references that fans have been catching all over AvengerCon, the series is busy setting up the big future of Kamala Khan. She will soon be appearing opposite Captain Marvel herself in the upcoming film The Marvels, which is directed by Nia DaCosta and coming to theaters on July 28, 2023.,It does make sense why Feige would be hesitant to include this particular Avengers: Endgame reference despite Ms. Marvel‘s already irreverent approach to the MCU. The climactic battle of that film has all-encompassing importance in Phase 4, with every film and television series grappling in some way with the fallout of Thanos’ defeat and the return of half the universe five years after they were wiped out of existence. Making light of that moment might just have been one step too far, as fun as it would have been to see., ,Source: The WrapWelcome to j8play casino, the best online casino in the world.
