A new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has fans of fantasy TV shows excited, with the release date close to that of Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon. Although fantasy storytelling has always been popular to some degree, the release of Game of Thrones in 2011 opened the genre up to new audiences. The show, which boasted a massive budget, ended in 2019, but the world of Westeros is set to return with House of the Dragon this August.,Before Game of Thrones wowed audiences on the small screen, however, Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy delivered a faithful and hugely successful big-screen adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien’s source material. After Jackson’s less successful Hobbit trilogy, Prime Video is set to adapt Tolkien’s novels once more with the upcoming The Rings of Power show. The series takes place thousands of years before the events of Jackson’s trilogy, depicting Sauron’s rise to power in the Second Age of Middle-earth.,Start Free Trial Now, ,Source: Various (see links above)
,With the release of a brand new trailer for The Rings of Power, fans of both Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones are coming together to welcome a new age of (hopefully) high-quality fantasy TV. Many fans point out that, after House of the Dragon premieres in August, The Rings of Power‘s premiere in September will mean there will be a handful of weeks where the shows are running simultaneously, with 2 new episodes of fantasy TV dropping each week. Designed as a more family-friendly series, The Rings of Power clearly is different in many ways from the Game of Thrones prequel show, but both series boast huge budgets and appear to be very large in scope and scale. While fantasy shows like The Wheel of Time and The Witcher have kept fantasy fans busy in the years since Game of Thrones ended, many are clearly excited to return to both Westeros and Middle-earth.,With The Hobbit trilogy proving generally disappointing and with the first trailer for The Rings of Power proving somewhat divisive, some fans are understandably hesitant about the new Lord of the Rings series. Similarly, with the ending of Game of Thrones widely considered to have missed the mark, many fans of George R. R. Martin’s source material are also dubious about House of the Dragon. While it remains to be seen whether or not The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of the Power or the Game of Thrones prequel series will be hits, it’s evidently a great time to be a fan of fantasy TV.,Welcome to j8play casino, the best online casino in the world.
