The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Monday said at least 106 volcanic earthquakes and 48 volcanic tremors were recorded at Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon.,Phivolcs added that Mt. Bulusan also emitted at least 4,672 tonnes of sulfur dioxide and 500 meters tall of plume drifting west northwest.,According to Phivolcs, the volcano’s edifice remains inflated.,Another phreatic or steam-driven eruption was detected Sunday at Mt. Bulusan, a week after the first one this year on 5 June.,Phivolcs said that the eruption occurred at 3:37 a.m. and lasted for 18 minutes. The eruption plume rose up to one kilometer.
