RSG, Omega make MSC Playoffs

RSG PH and Omega Esports booked their respective Playoffs spots after drawing mixed results in the Group Stage of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2022 (MSC) over the weekend at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center in Kuala Lumpur.,Mostly composed of former Execration players who won the MSC 2021, Omega Esports made its presence felt against Thai club IDONOTSLEEP (IDNS) Esports on Day 2 before taking Indonesian powerhouse RRQ Hoshi.,Although Omega Esports registered a 1-1 draw in both matches, its performance was still good enough to secure a slot in the upper bracket of the Playoffs.,Omega Esports stalwart Billy “Z4pnu” said they are just testing the waters.,“To us, that was nothing but a show match – a free match that has no bearing,” Z4pnu said, adding that IDNS just caught them with their guards down.,“That was just a show match between RRQ and Omega, especially since there is a lot of hype between these teams.”,“But IDNS was very surprising because it has a lot of bullets. If that was a series against our team or any other team, everybody would be surprised with their drafting. They do not have an MPL (Mobile Legends Professional League) in their country (Thailand) so we do not have any data. They are the dark horses of the MSC.”,Omega Esports roamer Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, meanwhile, believes that RRQ Hoshi has yet to unleash his full ability ahead of the Playoffs, saying that he is looking forward to face Todak in this prestigious tourney.,“Maybe they (RRQ) have yet to unleash their heroes yet. Maybe Albert used Ling so they would be hard to read,” Ch4knu said.,“I want to play against Todak because that would be a good match with them having home court advantage. In that way, I would hear the crowd.”,
