Senator Christopher “Bong” Go joined Senator Imee Marcos and Davao City Vice Mayor and Mayor-elect Sebastian “Baste” Duterte in thanking the people of Davao for the overwhelming support they have given President-elect Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President-elect Sara “Inday” Duterte.,On Sunday, 5 June, Senator Marcos and her team organized a thanksgiving event in Barangays Buhangin Proper and Gov. Vicente Duterte, Davao City to show their appreciation towards the Davaoeños for trusting the Marcos-Duterte tandem in this year’s elections.,In his short speech, Go expressed his gratitude for the unending support of his fellow Davaoeños towards the Duterte family over the years. He then committed that he will continue to provide much-needed service to the Filipino people.,The senator then expressed his hopes that the newly elected officials will be able to fulfill their duties efficiently and successfully for the betterment of the country.,“Huwag niyo akong itrato na senador, itrato niyo lang ako na kapitbahay ninyo. Itong (pasasalamat)—- ay kay Sen. Imee. Si Sen. Imee na aking kasama, classmate kami sa Senado. Sabay kaming napili sa 18th Congress at sabay rin kaming matatapos. Nandito siya para magpasalamat sa inyo, kami nagpapasalamat sa inyo sa tulong ninyo kay Presidente Marcos at Vice President Sara na sobrang panalo dito,” noted Go.,Go said that he is confident that the next administration will be able to continue the positive changes and will be able to further improve the current programs and reforms that President Rodrigo Duterte has started in order to provide Filipinos with a comfortable life.,The lawmaker likewise expressed that together with Senator Marcos and his other colleagues in the Senate, they will work hard to uplift the lives of more Filipinos in need, particularly those who are adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.,“Itong si Ma’am Imee ang isa sa mga pinakamasipag. Ibig sabihin, grabe talaga magtrabaho sa Senado. Makikita mo na walang absent, maaga pa lang makikita mo na  nandoon na. At grabe siyang magserbisyo sa inyo, kahit saan kayo sa Pilipinas dumarating talaga siya,” shared Go.,Go previously appealed to the next country’s leaders to support and develop more programs that would significantly benefit disadvantaged Filipinos.,He vowed to remain focused on helping the government in its pandemic recovery efforts until all Filipinos fully overcome the global health crisis.,“Maraming salamat at tandaan natin palagi, minsan lang tayo dadaan sa mundong ito. Kung anumang kabutihan o tulong na pwede nating gawin sa ating kapwa tao ay gawin na natin ngayon, dahil hindi na tayo babalik sa mundong ito,” Go underscored.,“Kami ni Presidente Duterte ay patuloy na magseserbisyo sa inyo, kami ni Senator Imee, patuloy kaming magseserbisyo sa inyo dahil para sa amin ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo ‘yan sa Diyos,” he reassured.,
