President Rodrigo Duterte has named two associate justices of the Court of Appeals, Malacañang announced Thursday.,John Zurbito Lee and Eleuterio Larisma Bathan would assume the posts vacated by resigned Associate Justice Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga and Associate Justice Japar Dimaampao who was appointed to the Supreme Court.,“The Palace congratulates Mr. John Zurbito Lee and Mr. Eleuterio Larisma Bathan on their appointment as Associate Justices of the Court of Appeals,” said acting presidential spokesperson Secretary Martin Andanar.,“We wish both Associate Justices all the best, and we are confident that they would dispense justice with fairness, impartiality and integrity,” he added.,Duterte signed their appointment papers on Wednesday, as shown in official documents shared by the SC’s public information office.,Prior to his appointment to the CA, Bathan served as presiding judge of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.,He also taught remedial law subjects in the University of Batangas.,
