Doctor Strange 2: What Daniel Craig’s Mr. Fantastic Could Have Looked Like

WARNING! Spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.,A new piece of
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness fan art imagines what Daniel Craig could have looked like had he been cast as Mr. Fantastic. Marvel Studios projects like
WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, and
Spider-Man: No Way Home have gradually developed and utilized the MCU’s multiverse. Ever since it was announced the sequel to 2016’s
 Doctor Strange was titled
Multiverse of Madness, fans expected Sam Raimi’s film would open the flood gates and feature a variety of variants. In addition to a couple of Doctor Strange variants and a much nicer Wanda Maximoff,
Multiverse of Madness fulfilled this promise courtesy of the Illuminati.,In the film, Strange is brought before Earth-838’s greatest heroes, including Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), Maria Rambeau/Captain Marvel (Lashana Lynch), Black Bolt (Anson Mount), Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), and Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (John Krasinski). Many of these cameos were filmed sporadically during
Multiverse of Madness’ reshoots to adhere to conflicting schedules and time lost during the pandemic. Saturday,
Deadline’s Justin Kroll shared a Twitter post in which he revealed 007 himself backed out of a major Illuminati cameo, saying ”
Krasinski wasn’t the first choice” for that surprising role. This resulted in a wave of headlines stating Craig was originally supposed to play Mr. Fantastic to take the internet by storm.,Related: Doctor Strange 2’s Thanos Defeat Totally Undermined The Illuminati’s Fate,Famed artist
Bosslogic has shared some fan art inspired by
Multiverse of Madness’ rumored cameo opportunity. The piece sees Craig wear the bold 4 on his chest as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, the smartest man alive. Check it out below:,Click Here to View the Original Post,Ignoring the rumor that Craig was originally set to play Mr. Fantastic, other reports say the actor was considered for the role of Thor’s half-brother, Balder the Brave. Rather than turn him into spaghetti, Scarlet Witch would’ve reportedly convinced this member of the Illuminati to take his own life—which is arguably more disturbing than the
Aliens-inspired scene. Krasinski has long been fan cast as the Fantastic Four leader and it seems unlikely he was Marvel Studios’ second choice for the character behind Craig. It’s more likely that Kevin Feige and company wanted to bring Craig in as the Asgardian and, when the actor backed out due to an uptick in COVID cases, brought Krasinski in as Mr. Fantastic.,Elizabeth Olsen never met members of the Illuminati while filming
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Krasinski presumably filmed his cameo in front of a green screen before being edited in. Mr. Fantastic aside, the above piece of art certainly makes a compelling argument for Craig’s future in the MCU. It’s interesting to think about how Craig may have been considered to play a brand-new MCU character—one that could very well appear in future projects. However, if
the rumor concerning Tom Cruise’s Tony Stark/Superior Iron Man proves anything, it’s that fans shouldn’t necessarily believe what they read online.,More: Tom Cruise’s Iron Man Is A Big MCU Risk – But Could Make RDJ Even Better,Source: Bosslogic
